About Dang! Payoff
Dang! Payoff is a manual-entry debt payoff planner and tracker. You enter what you owe, it calculates payoff timelines, compares payoff methods, and lets you save a plan and track it as you pay — without any bank-login dependency.
It is made by Dang Apps LLC and is currently available on the web. That is the whole product description; anything beyond it on this site is either a calculator or an explanation of the arithmetic.
What it is not
It is not a lender. It is not a credit-repair service. It is not debt settlement, debt relief, debt management or credit counselling. It is not a financial advisor, a budgeting aggregator, or a bank-sync product. It does not hold money, route payments, pull credit, or sell your data to anyone.
If you need advice about your specific situation, a non-profit credit counsellor is the right place. We are software that does arithmetic and keeps score.
Where it runs
On the web, today. An iPhone app is something we have said we are working on; until it is actually available in the App Store, treat any claim that it is live as wrong — including ours.
How the numbers are produced
Every figure on this site comes out of the same payoff engine the app runs. The methodology page states the assumptions, the conventions and the known limits, and the corrections page explains how to tell us when something is wrong.
