About Dang! Payoff

Dang! Payoff is a manual-entry debt payoff planner and tracker. You enter what you owe, it calculates payoff timelines, compares payoff methods, and lets you save a plan and track it as you pay — without any bank-login dependency.

It is made by Dang Apps LLC, a Florida company, and is currently available on the web. That is the whole product description; anything beyond it on this site is either a calculator or an explanation of the arithmetic.

What it is not

It is not a lender. It is not a credit-repair service. It is not debt settlement, debt relief, debt management or credit counselling. It is not a financial advisor, a budgeting aggregator, or a bank-sync product. It does not hold money, route payments, pull credit, or sell your data to anyone.

If you need advice about your specific situation, a non-profit credit counsellor is the right place. We are software that does arithmetic and keeps score.

Where it runs

On the web, today. An iPhone app is something we have said we are working on; until it is actually available in the App Store, treat any claim that it is live as wrong — including ours.

How we check the math

A single deterministic payoff engine. Every figure on this site — every calculator, every worked example and every study — comes out of the same engine the app runs, from the inputs shown beside it. The same inputs always produce the same answer.
Published, downloadable data. Each study publishes the dataset its figures come from as a spreadsheet, with the method written down, so anyone can check a figure against the rows.
A corrections policy. If a number cannot be reproduced by entering the same inputs into the calculator on the same page, that is a defect; the corrections page says how to report it and how we mark a correction.
Reviewed dates. Every calculator, guide and study page carries the date its claims and sources were last checked.
